Celavive Makeup Remover Guide

You wash your face, you think it is clean, and the next morning your makeup still will not sit right. Often the problem is not the serum — it is the very first step.

Celavive has two makeup removers, and they are not two versions of the same thing. They are built for different kinds of makeup.

You can watch the English video overview here: Celavive makeup removers YouTube video.

Why Makeup Removal Is Its Own Step

Makeup, sunscreen, and the pollutants that settle on skin during the day are mostly not water-friendly. Water alone will not shift them, and a cleanser is not designed to do that job on its own. That is why the official Celavive routine treats removal and cleansing as two actions inside step one — at night you do both, in sequence.

The Two Options, Side by Side

Conditioning Makeup Remover Bi-Phase Makeup Remover
Positioning A gentle micellar water for everyday makeup; leaves skin comfortable and prepped for the next step A two-phase formula for long-wear and waterproof makeup, described as removing makeup while conditioning, without an oily film
Best for Everyday makeup, sunscreen, visible daytime grime Long-wear and waterproof makeup, plus dirt and oil
How it works Water-based micellar formula — micelles attract and lift away impurities; no rinsing needed, no residue Two phases, shaken before use; gentle emollients dissolve makeup while botanical extracts cool and hydrate; described as non-comedogenic
Key ingredients Micellar water, squalane, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate (a coconut-derived emollient) Cucumber fruit extract complex, oil-free emollients (cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, glycerin), aloe leaf juice
2025 update 66% more product per bottle, now fragrance-free to reduce irritation for sensitive or blemish-prone skin Newer addition to the range

Both are listed for all skin types, and neither contains artificial colours, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, or phenoxyethanol.

How to Use Each One

Conditioning Makeup Remover — the first step of your evening routine, usable daily. Saturate a cotton pad and sweep it gently over the face. No rinsing required. If you double cleanse, follow it with your cleanser and rinse.

Bi-Phase Makeup Remover — also the first step at night, usable daily. Shake the bottle first, apply a small amount to a cotton pad, then sweep gently over eyes, lips, and face. Follow with your cleanser and continue your routine.

In both cases, the step after removal is the cleanser — for normal, combination, or oily skin that is usually the Creamy Foam Cleanser.

What Users Report

The product pages summarise typical feedback in appearance and comfort terms: for the Conditioning Makeup Remover, a quick routine (no rinsing, no residue) and skin that feels soft and hydrated afterwards; for the Bi-Phase, low irritation, the ability to take off waterproof makeup, and skin that looks smoother with more refined-looking pores and a brighter-looking complexion.

Worth keeping in mind: those are descriptions of how skin looks and feels. Celavive is a cosmetic range and is not intended to treat clinical skin conditions such as acne or rosacea.

FAQ

Which of the two should I choose?
The product pages point in a clear direction: everyday makeup and sunscreen suit the Conditioning Makeup Remover, a micellar water that needs no rinsing. Long-wear and waterproof makeup suit the Bi-Phase Makeup Remover, whose two-phase formula is described as dissolving that kind of makeup. Both are listed as suitable for all skin types.
Is makeup removal enough on its own?
The two steps do different jobs. Makeup removal handles makeup, sunscreen, and the day's pollutants; cleansing handles sweat, excess oil, dead surface cells, and whatever the remover left behind. The official routine puts removal first, then a cleanser.
Why does the Bi-Phase bottle need shaking?
It is a two-phase formula, so the layers separate while the bottle sits. The official instructions are to shake it before use, then apply a small amount to a cotton pad.
